Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama and Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab will visit the Muara Baru Flat and Pluit Dam, North Jakarta, Wednesday (4/22), around at 1.30 PM.

“Today, I'm going to accompany Mr. Egyptian Prime Minister to see the Pluit Dam project which was initiated by Mr. Jokowi," he said, City Hall.

Besides Pluit Dam, Ahok also plans to explain the city’s strategy to relocate citizens to Muara Baru Flat in the tenure of Jokowi.

“How to relocate thousands of people to the flat. As the host, we cannot serve all (members of Asia-Africa Summit). Especially for some countries, old friends in Bung Karno era, we could establish the cooperation well. Our hope it could be realized,” he expressed.

Based on schedule, he would firstly join in the opening ceremony of KAA in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) at 9-11 AM and then move to City Hall.

Moreover, he once again visited the JCC for courtesy call as well as take Mr. Ibrahim and then go to the Muara Baru Flat and Pluit Dam. As planned, it would be joined by North Jakarta Mayor Rustam Effendi, Head of Water Management Sub-Department Agus Priyono, Head of City Regional Development Planning Board (Bappeda) Tuty Kusumawati, Head of Spatial Planning Department Iswan Ahmadi, as well as Head of Public Housing And Governments Building Management, Ika Lestari Aji.

As known, the normalization of Pluit Dam is one of the top programs in the era of Jokowi-Basuki.

However, the Pluit Dam is a first area that had to be controlled from slums which caused shallowing in the water channel. Presently, Pluit Dam residents were already relocated to Muara Baru Flat. He hoped, the meeting with Mr. Ibrahim could strengthen the cooperation between two parties.
